Returning to My Shepherd
I had wandered far from home.
  I was empty and confused.
And I wondered, yes, I wondered,
Would You hear me when I called You?

I had turned away from You,
Thinking truth was in the world.
Yet I worried, yes, I worried,
Had I lost Your love forever?

But as shame weighed down my soul,
  And my sorrows overtook me,
You called me, yes, You called me!
Could it be that You still loved me?

Deep within my heart I felt You calling!
I felt Your loving arms lifting me up.
Grace alone grants my forgiveness, loving Father,
I’m coming back to worship You today.

While I was lost and so lonely,
  You were watching over me.
Oh my Shepherd, my Good Shepherd,
Why'd I turn away from You?

Though I’m weak and undeserving,
Your great love is never ending.
Now I’m ready, yes I’m ready:
I will live my life for You.

Deep within my heart I feel You calling!
I feel Your loving arms lifting me up.
Grace alone grants my forgiveness, loving Father,
I’m coming back to worship You today.
